The 2ZR-FE from the Scion xD is a direct drop in. It is what comes in the Yaris TS. It would be an easier swap that the above mentioned engines which are all very good but also very old. A 1ZZ or 2ZZ from the Celica has bee done also but requires alot of custom fabrication.....

Why do you want to drop a blacktop into a pretty new car? You're better off with an xD motor. At least with that you can actually get it BAR'd if it's a newer motor. Unless you have hook ups which in Cali, there are tons.
Don't go 16V unless you have lots of money to get more power, heck you're better off supercharging the Yaris motor for less money 20V can be cool sounding but you'll probably gain what 10-15 hp to the wheels compared to stock, unless I'm forgetting something. |

Dude, that 4A-GE is super hard to build. It takes like a million dollars to get some decent N/A power.
I think it'll be cheaper to figure out how to get a B series to fit in there. |

Only 10-15 over? My stock 20v in my corolla made 147whp on an untuned engine running extremely rich. Doesn't the stock yaris dyno at 95whp??? |
