The optitron meter came in the 2008+ model (face-lift). Mines is a 2006. I wanted it to be correct according to it's year of manufacture.

You can set the brightness according to your preferance and it shows when the trunk is open and which door specifically.

The optitrons are adjustable too, only that they are Always On in the daylight.
But yeah, i noticed the US sedan gauges have similar plugs to yours (of course in reverse--left plug is on the right and vice versa), and that they show exactly which door is open---AND THE TRUNK TOO??

Ours don't have a trunk open indicator!

I have the door indicator on my sedan. But then, I also have a tach. In fact, all canadian yaris come with a tach.

I think that's one of the gripes of some yaris owners in the US, as the Canadian yarises all have tachs.
Here, even the base model that doesn't have ABS or dual airbags or dual vanity mirrors or body colored handles or.....they have a tach.

cruise control, heated mirrors, trunk indicator and 60:40 folding seats are the useful features no model here has, while thailand only has the cruise control missing from all models. heck they even have push start/keyless entry.

I have the lame digital VFD gauge in my EU Yaris (hatchback), if I buy an analogue one (with the needles) would it be plug n play? My car has ABS and tacho (obviously).

Yes. As long as it is a EU one.

There are a few minor wiring changes between the US market ones and the European ones. You would want a Canadian one to have km/h.

With the ODO showing total miles on the cluster, you press and hold the left button. If it does swap to MPH it will do it, if not, nothing happens. (I have a KPH only digital as well, but i want a mph one)

Looks like Greece uses KPH tho.

The only ones that use mph are the UK and USA.... BUT my idea is that you may want to find a canadian one. But I will check it first thing tomorrow. Im looking for an analogue with tach that has kph only. Or at least mph with small letters and kph in big. None on ebay so far...

Yeah I was just hoping. Easy to find digital in mph are in RHD. Only a few countries have them in LHD, like Russia, Israel apparently.

I use to see lots of canadian clusters with tachs. I was lucky to find a USDM S cluster that was the only option at the time for one with tach.

You could buy my S cluster and have scott reprogram it to make the outer big letters read as KPH. That is if you cant find a canadian cluster.

Well, ezhacker, I can see from the sun rays (or an LED flash beam) that there are MPH, MPG, Fahrenheits etc in the cluster. But it just doesnt switch. Maybe it needs some programming or something. Idk.

CTScott, PM me cost shipped to me. (and a way to reprogram kms, as its a daily driver for the family, so it constantly keeps writing km on it)
