No..... not of the cone on the IC. in my boost thread i did discuss this topic slightly.

Also my cone wasnt mounted in an idea CAI place, I mounted it inside the engine bay close to the top of the bumper where my turbo would easily hook up too

Technically, the project is pretty straightforward: I already have a TRD cai which goes under the fender, extending the tubes to the radiator and placing the filter further under the opposite fender is not difficult.

Any potential gains? Cons?

I can't help but think that if this was a viable option, there would be plenty of people doing it already. While I'm not saying that there can be no innovation these days, I am saying this is a pretty basic principle, and there's probably a reason we don't see it being done.
