I bought one...

Soo... after a lot of deliberating on whether it was worthwhile to drop the TSX and STi, we bit the bullet today.

Traded the TSX in, bought a black 5 door yaris hatchback rs and a mica flint rav4 sport.

Going to sell the STi privately.

Got a rally spoiler as well... should be fun... whee fuel economy here I come!

I hate you ...jkjk!! You got both the cars I want! Rav4 and Yaris!!! They must of gave you a pretty good deal on both cars eh... congrats... I am getting my white 5 doors hatchback RS with rally wing on Wed! You better order those springs to drop your Yaris now while you wait to pick up your new car!

Thanks guys...

Yah we got a pretty decent trade for the TSX. Just need to get rid of the STi. They really couldn't do much in terms of dropping price, which was a bit annoying, but they did bump up the trade in value on the TSX, which saved us a bit...

Now I just gotta figure out what rims I want and what springs to buy and where from... hmmm, maybe some new taillights? Heh

They lied!! I know there is not much room to drop the price on the Yaris, but you should be able to drop at least $600 on it... and as for the Rav4 I know they are in high demand, but I am sure they could of drop at least another $600 like the Yaris, that would of gave you another $1200 saving.... but any how, its time to play with the carrs

Rav4 is one of the most popular suv's up here in BC. Maybe we are more concerned about fuel economy? Cuz some of the other suv's on the market look nicer the then rav4 but they suck for fuel economy. I think the rav has a great balance of power to economy... 269hp and 11L/100km is pretty nice :)

Yaris in BC here is probably the best selling new car. I see at least a dozen on my way to work everyday. On my street (we live in a neighbourhood where the average home costs $800k) there are 4 yaris, soon to be 5 thanks to me. In my garage at work, there are 7! yaris parked there.

So when the dealer tells me that they are selling like hotcakes and he has no reason to give me a deal other then the fact that I am buying two vehicles at once, I kinda believe him :(

They did bump up our trade in value quite a bit. Which probably saved us about $1000 or so... I can't really complain either way, I'm going to save so much in just one year of ownership...

Despite a buttload of advertising and promotions the Tundras around here sit and rot. The dealerships don't even keep them out front anymore.

In the last 6 months I've seen exactly one Tundra on the road, and there were no Tundra buyers present at the "New Toyota Owners Dinner" we attended last month.

V8titan... yah but you live in the USA... housing is a bit different there. Here, it's absolutely nuts.

My first house was nice and cost $290k just 3.5 years ago. I sold that for over $500k and moved up to this one for $688k. Now houses on this block are already pushing through $800k! It makes no sense. I know salaries aren't climbing that fast :(

I have to say the rav4 is a great suv to drive. I gotta find out if I can do any mods to that one... the yaris I already have a bit of a grocery list for it :)

Hey, my sister lives in Vancouver!...Oregon that is, still sort of your neck of the woods...

Glad to see you got it all worked out. So is the Yaris yours or your wife's?

Port Moody is just 20 mins away from Vancouver, basically a Vancouver suburb... up in Canada here :)

Technically, the yaris is in my name as I will be the primary driver of it... since we commute to work together and my office is a bit further then hers. So I went from an STi to a Yaris hahahahaha :)

Wow, 20 minutes?? At 3 in the morning I bet...;-)

I am old enough to remember when Moody WAS 20min away, but my buddies in PoCo and area may contest that figure...
