Windshield washer fluid

Hello guys,

I was wondering If it would do any harm to use windshield washer fluid with de-icer right now. It is now warm out, and will remain hot for the summer. Is it fine to use the de icer windshield washer fluid?

Thanks :)

It is fine as in it won't ruin your windshield, but it's not so good for you or your passengers if the fumes are inhaled via open windows or vents, or for your local environment if any of it is spilled or over-sprayed. There is some toxic stuff in that fluid.

I just make my own fluid with 2 tablespoons of vinegar in a gallon of water, and 1-2 drops of lavender oil. No detectable foul odor, food grade, fully biodegradable, a few pennies for each gallon and all throughout last winter I never had it freeze in the lines or on my windshield, even on snowy and windy days at high altitude (my engine grille block likely helped with that, so YMMV).
