I ran the mini wheels for two winters with the Jegs lugnuts and when I sold the wheels this past fall the lugnuts still looked like new, with not a spot of rust and no deformation from taking them on and off. I am sure that there are plenty of very poor lugnuts out there, but those were not.

please get over yourself. If the chinese didn't operate the way they did the entire world's standard of living would be much lower. 99% of the products in a normal household come from china and are extremely reliable.
Plates don't count, any plate breaks when you drop it. Products sent to China to be replicated are of poor quality, and is the reason why the aftermarket performance industry is falling apart. You get what you paid for. I deal with these parts on a daily, there is no arguing against proof.

except that will never happen. almost everything we buy comes from china, and is extremely reliable. unless you can point at a couple dozen cases where people died because of the lug nuts the only real nut around is you.
