R.I.P. to the original hub spacer test car :(

I just got a call from the owner of the xD that started it all (the hub spacers).. she was involved in an accident this morning, totalling her 08 xD. some bimbo in a honda oddesy made an illegal left turn without looking, right into the front of her car.. absolutely no room to react.

and now

be safe out there kids, wear your seatbelts!

Hey if it's not my fault not only am I going to get a new car from it being totaled I'm going to get a little extra money to mod it as well... Haha is that bad? But in all honesty I don't believe I could screw someone over like that because it really was an accident.

Its always "a pain in the neck" till the thieving claims adjusters come to a proper understanding about what the concept of "being made whole", and "full and adequate" compensation means under the law. Are they going to pretend to rebuild that mess or are they going to do the right thing and let it be salvaged? DOA I guess from what the title says ?

i'm hoping it's totaled.

trick for you people out there, if you get in an accident and get the car towed somewhere, poke a hole in the oil filter and leave the engine running til the tow truck comes. that's another couple thousand to add to the repair bill might push you over the "totaled" line

edit: i do not condone damaging the environment... catch that spilled oil of course
