(for Doc Zaius) aFe intake on a Blitz'd engine

The fitment is not as good as with the stock engine pics I've seen elsewhere. Perhaps my throttle body is closer to the driver side than stock. I'll have to check with a stock Yaris.

The air intake box is more squished and does not lay perpendicular to the battery. I can not find anything wrong with how it works though.

I also have to reroute the crankcase hose. I don't like the way it looks compared to others.

Ohhhh yeah. And those ponies kick in at low rpms. I don't have to wait for high revs to feel the front wheels pulling like mad. And that whining sound is just magic.

Damn, now I want to go out and drive it around the block.

LOL! I'm glad I was able to entertain you.

Thanks to Matt, I just went out, drove a couple of miles up the road and back and got it out of my system.

Today was my last set of mods I felt I needed before letting her rip. I changed the spark plugs to high heat range plugs to help prevent pinging.

I also took out the two-piece TRD CAI and replaced it with the aFe intake. People warned me that pieces of the TRD unit could be sucked into the S/C. Today, I saw what that piece could have been.

I will try to make one this weekend. It takes two cars and three people to do it right. You already saw what happens when you do it wrong.

Put the camera on record and put it between the headrest and the seat of your passenger seat and WOT baby!

I'm having someone make the bracket for me at work next week. I bought some square aluminum tubing and well attach it to the headrest.

I'm taking a rider this weekend to the autocross. If he can hold the camera still, maybe we'll have a video of the car going through the course.
