OK, enough.

1. We have had to disable some GB threads because they were reported as "illegal sales threads" in the forum yesterday.

2. The procedure when there is a conflict in the forum and the mods present are not able to do anything about it right away for whatever reason (keep in mind the limitations of mobile devices and what not), we then temporarily disable the threads until we can look at it more closely, and sometimes, when one mod isn't clear about what needs to happen in any particular case then we wait until other mods are online so we can check with the team before making a decision. *

- As a result , the decision about what to do with a thread [or an offensive post, or an offensive member for that matter, or an illegal sales thread, or a sales thread that's perfectly legal but was erroneously reported .... ] may be delayed a day or two. We apologize for that and we ask your patience.

Did I miss anything?

1NZYaris, we didn't say your thread is gone forever, would you please be patient, please?!!!

* I can explain the reason for that separately if you want, but basically we do it that way to ensure that we have team decisions rather than decisions taken by just one mod in the heat of the moment (such as bans, locked threads or whatever).

And another thing. Enough with the threats and the tamper tantrums "if you don't do this or that or whatever right this fucking minute...... , I'm out of here and at MicroImage where people are happy and here you're all a bunch of jerks, and I hate you, you suck, this forum is for losers, blah, blah, blah etc., etc... " did I leave anything out?

Enough of that kind of crap already! There is no need for that!!! Are you forgetting that the vast majority of us are members of both forums (AND some other forums, too), so why bring up hostility and division when there is absolutely no need for this!

We all end up at the same car meets, all end up buying stuff from the same people and making the same friends. Think about it!

Everybody take a chill pill please.

So who's reporting all these threads ,
or are you saying becuase i listed just a few yesterday on this thread
you have seen how Pathetic you have been , and made those invisable
as well .
One would think IF you had a problem with a tread you would contact the
Writer of that thread , with a please explain .
Instead of going on a Ego trip , and then closing more informative threads
because you realized how wrong you are , in closing just 1 persons Threads

I have no problem in airing this in public , but as yet not 1 MOD
has contacted via PM or Email to explain why my threads where
pulled , and reading all the answers above still dont answer that question .

NZ, your latest ^ speaks for itself. I rest my case.

Nobody is going on an ego trip but it looks right now that I could spend the rest of my life trying to explain it and you still wouldn't get it. You're angry and I've learned a long time ago that it's pretty useless trying to speak to someone when they can't hear you.

Sorry you weren't contacted by PM but I think the whole explanation is in this thread.

Could you please just relax and wait for resolution? it's not much asking, is it?

I'm sorry you feel that way, Ray, I really am.

I've done my best to answer those questions publicly so that everyone can get an answer at the same time. Or perhaps we should PM the same answer to everyone that has the same question?

Sorry for being "pathetic". I'm doing the best I can to fix this ASAP. I don't know how else to explain it.

This will be done from now on. We are currently working on an official announcement (as I have previously stated on this very thread) which will hopefully solve this issue once and for all.

If you have no problem discussing this in public, then why do you need a PM?

The whole issue i have , is the fact NO ONE contacted me , OR HAS to date , to say my threads are not aloud, they where just banished. Then because i pointed out to you that there are quite a few more threads doing the same , and only then did you block those , again i bet with out talking to the Aurthor .
Yes there are spammers , and if you consider me after 2000+ post's
so be it .
As stated 2-3 times through out this thread , i no longer care about the thread you have banished, i had no finacial Gain in tem to start with .

If Yaris World would like more Vendors the owners should be a little more transparent .

NZ yaris nobody said you're a spammer!

I understand you're hurt because you didn't get a PM. I don't know why you didn't get a PM. Probably because whoever temporarily disabled the thread didn't think it was going to be a big deal. We do it routinely, then put the threads back up when the issue (whatever it is) is resolved.

Could you please, please give us the time we need to bring this thing to resolution?
Thanks.

(for what it's worth, I was told to take my GB thread down too, so you're not alone)

That is my whole piont , how do i know its an issue
if no one has informed me . My thread just's dissappears

it appears threads are being banished becuase , the MOD's or Owners
of this site see fit to do so .

So be it , i must abide by the Forum rules , then so must everyone else
was the other point to this thread . It would also be great if this was in the Forum Rules , before Banishing threads .

yeah, I hear you loud and clear., NZ I totally understand how you feel, I can see how it appears that way.

Look, nobody is doing anything on a whim, that's actually why the threads (several, not yours alone, mine too, actually) were put on hold (I've explained how the process work in one of the previous posts, didn't I?).

Speaking of rules, you make a great point, they should be more clearly stated. They will be.

If you can hang until the other mods log in, we should all get some resolution very soon.

Sorry again, NZ

I agree and some mods must go. They stick their nose where they shouldn't. Some are just unfair, and flame.

woah everyone, let's take a step back and chill...

I'm not a moderator here but used to be, and I can firstly tell you it's an ungrateful job, lots of tough decisions to make without any guidance from the owners of the site, and all on a completely volunteer basis.

I'm not sure what is the exact deal in this recent move against For Sale threads, but it is true that some structure must be applied, this forum is only getting bigger and bigger, there's no other way around it.

Now Ray, I agree with you, one of the mods should have contacted you about it, it's not right to be left in the dark like this. But, they're still getting used to this new system, so I think they've learned how to handle this in the future.

So.. let's take a deep breath, let's let tomato, tk-421, and the other mods get their ducks in a row, and get things worked out properly.

And please please please, everybody, have respect, or as my old friends Bill & Ted would say, be excellent to each other.

Be careful what you wish for.

We are volunteers after all, and can only take so much crap.

Even in a paying job situation, people will tell you a minimum of stuff, out here if you make the slightest little mistake (or not even a mistake, just an unpopular decision), peeps call you out and not in a nice way.

Ray you complain you didn't get a PM? Understood. Guess what, most of the time we don't get a PM either, we get "this forum sucks, mod privilege abuse " whatever.

You delete some post because people find them offensive, bam, 5 minutes later, another group complains that you deleted the very same posts. You don't delete the posts , and right away a whole other bunch of people complain that the posts are inflammatory and why haven't these lazy mods deleted them already?

This is just an example.

So maybe, just maybe, instead of taking this hostile, adversary attitude, some of you might try working with the mods for a change, and be part of the solution rather than part of the problem.

Just make a decision one way or the other already. The longer this drags out the worse it will get.

Thanks for the helpful tip. We'll go ahead with the announcement once we're good and ready.

Actually I have a better idea. Even God took a day off (so I'm told) so I'm gonna go ahead and lock this thread for today so we can all enjoy our Sunday.

It may surprise you to notice there are other threads in this forum
so go enjoy, and we'll update you when we have something new to report.
