Spring rates

Anybody know the spring rates for the OEM springs? trying to look for something that will actually improve my handling, and not just make my ride harsher like my echo...

if you cut your stock springs you will have the same spring rate...
but, with lowering spring there should be about a 30% spring rate increase some are 15% for comfort... try Tanabe, they should have something called an NF210
and DF210... add upper front strut bars and upper rear bracing, it should cost you $160 for front and rear... change the shock and struts too with harder ones, and your ready for Auto-X buddy !

you might want to custom make some under-bracing with your welder buddies because they cost a leg because their from Japan ...

as for my echo, i had the eibach pro kit's... and that did nothing to help handling.

dude! just go for the Tanabes! their from Japan! and give you a 30% spring rate increase from stock AKA harder springs for $200... If you want something that will really affect handling get some Tein Coil-overs with the spring rate and height controller...
ask Etimago about that...

BTW, Eibach suck when its cheap!

TRD sportivo's aren't as stiff as the eibach pro kit's i had. possibly still eibach but not the pro kit.

and no, i'm not going to choose a suspension setup without knowing what i already have.

say the oem spring rates are 300/150, and you get new ones that are 600/300, then it's going to be totally useless except making the ride harsher.

you see what i mean?

Have you tried to contact Toyota? or an aftermarket spring company like Tein or Tanabe. I bet they could tell you in 5 minutes.
