Who needs air vents
Hi Guys,
Today i fitted a GPS Speed limit and speed camera detector. I looked at a few different option of products i wanted something that once you buy was cheap to update, but small enough to custom fit, so i went for the MY SPEED AURA, £129.99 + £10 per year for speed limit updates. i hate having things on the dash or windscreen. Took a bit of modification to get it in and used a perspex sheet to cover the unit. Its all set up so don't need to press any buttons, and to update the unit a have hard wired the cable behind the glove box so i can simply unplug the usb from the charger and plug it in the laptop to update it every few months Here is the end result, what do you think? Every car will be different in terms of where you will put the unit, its a simply hard wire with a 12v charger behind the dash so it comes on/off with the ignition.
You would need one of these for charging http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12v-Female...ht_2329wt_1378 |

I'm not a fan, simply because it takes away the vent which is crucial where I live. I respect the work though, it came out great.

Thanks, Air con i guess as you live in cali. Well im from the uk so its cold most of the time i have the heater on 30 degress blowing on my feet and out every other vent. i have blocked the vent from the back so it just comes out the left vent quicker now. |
