Absolutely Red steel wheels

Body-colored wheels seems to have ended circa 1960. These are repainted 1992 Mazada Miata, which was said to have a retro/euro styling theme. 5.5" width. Tires are Kumho Solus TA-11 185/65-14.http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/att...1&d=1503845440

I'm not first owner, but seems quite stock. Rear seat delete. Low camera angle. Concave parking spot? Tires one size larger than stock 175/65-14 should be very close in height to the stock 15's 185-60.
Here's with stock 5" rims and tall 175/70-14 Yokohama IG52c winter tires:

Yeah, even in that second picture with the dog, the rear wheel gap looks enormous. Can only assume the rear seat delete weight loss is the difference maker, but boy, that seems like a lot of room.

I really like that! It looks retro and rugged. You could double down on the "retro" theme with some baby moons...

Baby moons trim rings steel chrome retro wheels

That's an interesting wheel...seeing as many as three trim rings. WAG-ing, the vehicle is a Volvo 544 or 444?
I'd use just a cap on these Miata rims, but there are no obvious ways to hold them on. No bumps on the rim. No groove on outside of the wheel center hole like Toyota steelies. 13 inch Corolla's circa 1990 came with flat center caps that covered the lugs...makes cleaning the wheel easy. These Miata center caps grip the inside of the center hole. Don't want to scratch the new red paint...wheels might find there way back to a Mazda someday.

The picture I posted was from a Google Image search for "baby moon caps", but you're right, a reverse image search found the original page, and it's a 1964 Volvo 544.

I know about the Toyota caps that cover the lugs, but they're super rare. Someday, I'll design and print a set that can attach to stock Toyota steelies. I've read that you can get plastic to look sort of like chrome if you paint it gloss black first, then with a light coat of "chrome" spray paint.

Attachments question--Why doesn't attachment image appear in this post? (Attachment photo was added by making an edit to Post 1. Then Post 1 was quoted to make this post. The photo didn't show, so I edited by removing the bracketed "quote" at each end of the post)
Maybe the system shows a user's attachment photo when anyone else quotes his post, but not when a user quotes his own post?

I'd get a set of trim rings for it, would go along way.
