rear shoes on 2010 yaris

Ok so i replaced the rear shoes on my yaris. which I have done on all my cars with drums. So I go to firestone to have them to bleed the brakes and check the adjustment on rear brakes .Well the service adviser comes to me and says there is a problem.... This what he tells me being that I replaced the rear brakes and didnt adjust tem I blew out both wheel cylinders which I never heard of doing that from not having the proper adjustment on the shoes.I drove the car for two days and the brakes were fine.... Is he bullshitting me because I never had that happen to any other of my cars before.... anyone know if he is taking me for a ride ??? Besides I drove the car there its about 5MI I think i would have noticed the brakes fading. Any thoughts would be appreciated thanx FTD66

You can't blow the cylinders apart due to mis-adjusted drum brakes.

Sounds to me like the service center had the drums off when someone stepped on the brake pedal for the bleed or connected their pressure device (for bleeding).

Did they take you to the car and show you what they are talking about?

If you blew the cylinders wouldn't there be fluid everywhere?
