Engine upgrades

HI Guys

Im planning some engine upgrades soon , eg , camms , gas flow , throttle bodies and a de Cat exhaust , and a ECU upgrade , maby bigger injectors..any advice on the yaris 1.3 engine mods?

i think i should get around 100 KW.

Sorry dude, but you won't find much info about the 1.3L engine on this forum. 99% of the guys drive the 1.5L USDM USDM engine.

And for the 1.5 here in the us atleast there is I think header,cai,exhuast and that is about it. But I dont really look around on the net so I cant tell u for sure.

im going to one of the local top tuners next week , and get a custom throttle body made up , see if i can get my ECU remapped , and also find out about degreeing my cams and flowing the head.Will let you guys know what they say.And i also wanna put my car on the Dyno to see what see's doing.

Um, your TB is a Drive by wire that is servo controlled, meaning that your TPS sensor is under your gas pedal and the ECU is actuating the TB. unless all you are doing is putting a bigger one on from another toyota, you should re-think this...

what u mean? are you talking about the pressure sensor?

I took my yaris to a dealership to have the ECU and engine checked out , all seemed ok , although all they check for is errors, and if none , then to them , everything is ok , the only thing they could do was turn my warning buzzer off for the seatbelt.

one thing they showed me is that as a factory default , the throttle or gas pedal , is set to a maximum of 81.1 % , wierd hey?almost detuned.

interesting....... In this case a larger throttle may be useful... Or an ECU tweak, somehow?
