are you really arguing about 7-14%? I can't Imagine 7% being a breaking point for anybody. If you can throw 325k away at a car, 25k more is nothing. That'd be like a Yaris owner not buying a car because the price was 700-1000 too high... 700 over the course of 5 years is just a few bucks on your monthly payment.

This doesn't compete with the GT-R. Different class. Okay it compete cause the GT-R is a junior Supercar.

I hate that people say this is the new Supra or successor. Its not!! WTF! It has nothing to do with the Supra. Totally different ball game.

Rant over.

Sexy car though. Which is hard press to say about many or any Toyota's or Lexus

no i wasn't serious. my cap is more like $25,000-$30,000 for a car. but $350,000 is ridiculous. maybe it's the luxury appeal but it just seems to me you could easily get a way better car for less.

EDIT: okay maybe not way better.

Now we wait and see which rich idiot buys the first one, and which one wrecks it on the track (or street) thinking he's a racer...

i'd be happy if they'd turbo their v6 3.0 and be done with it.

i'd heard they were bringing back the old supra mold, making a few changes to the front bumper and hood area, putting a v6 turbo into it and calling it something else...but i guess my 'friend who knows someone in toyota' was wrong or they changed their minds.

hell...i'd be happy if they did the celica supra again, with a celica body and a 'supra' engine. of course it has to be RWD or AWD

$350,000

Hmmm alot of people are complaining about the price.

Even if it was 80,000 like the gtr you still wouldent get it.
Dont complain about the price if your not seriously thinking about getting it.

Oh and IMO it is the new supra. Cause the last FR coupe toyota came out with was the supra and If lexus picked up the project and rebadged it. Its still a toyota. Eat it. LOL

Oh and FT-86 guys they took the concept pics of toyota.com so it may already be in the prelaunch procc
ess

Lexus AF-A Your thoughts?

I've been checking out this car for a while I'd like to know your thoughts. I am glad to see Toyota still providing super cars.

I don't think this was meant to go against the R35, this is certainly a lot higher. This would be in the class with the bi turbo's of Benz.

Name me a car that has the same amount of engineering and technology for less. Other limited production supercars with a carbon fiber tub and paint jobs that are individually wet-sanded by hand to perfection such as the Carerra GT, Pagani Zonda, Ferrari Enzo, and Mclaren SLR all start off at around 500,000.

My thoughts exactly. It's got all of the bells and whistles to make sure the owner feels like it was worth the sticker price!

Who knows whether or not the styling is actually functional, but I would hope it is when the top speed is 202mph.

I guess I'm just way out of the demographic... I probably wouldn't buy a street-legal race car, even if I had the money. I can imagine the type of person who would, though.
