Personal Best with MPG

I just wanted to share this tidbit: Filled up with regular at $2.789/gl (yikes!) to 8.605 gls with 309.7 mi for a wonderful 35.99 mpg.

Driving in around in The Villages, Leesburg and Fruitland Park at most hitting 55 mph and at least 30 mph with a 3 dr lb auto.

I'm happy.

The best I've got for a full tank is 43,5 US MPG, city driving.

pump up your tires to 40 psi front, 35 rear and you should gain a little. Be smooth and keep it moving to do better.

How fast you drive makes a huge difference in this car, others as well. I regularly get 38-40mpg when at 70-75mph, but when I slow down to 60-65 I have seen as much at 47mpg. Happy driving.

Just came back from Vegas: 40MPG average for the trip; still "only" 37.5MPG over the 3500miles I've owned it. Tires were about 29~30PSI and cruise control set at 68MPH. No particular reason for setting CC at 68MPH...

1.4 litre D4D manual (90bhp), average 63mpg all the time. Best individual journey 76mpg at 40mph (loads of traffic for 60 miles with no opportunity to overtake.... took forever to get home).
Diesel here in Ireland is now €1.31 per litre, = €5.90 per US gal, = $7.78 per gal at today's currency rate.

I average a cool 33-34mpg. I think I broke 35mpg one time. Props to those of you who are racking up the mpgs. I just can't do it. I don't see stop lights... I see Christmas trees.

HRC, outstanding. Thumbs up to you my friend.

Now back on topic. Gas is $3 here too if that's what you were referring to Trubin. In fact gas here in the Permian Basin is usually more expensive than anywhere else in the state.

My persinal best - ethanol: 45.74 MPG (winter 3/21/11)
My worst - ethanol: 27.35 MPG (winter 1/8/10)

I've been averaging between 46 and 43 MPG. That's on my usual route of combined freeway (62 mph or so) and secondary roads (48 mph in 5th. gear on cruise), and around town. One trick I use a lot, when parked at a curb rather then restart and sit there idling waiting for a break in traffic, I look first then only restart when it's clear. I coast A LOT. Been using the air a lot also so I'm happy with what I'm getting. I just need a four door....
