PVC valve routine?

You know I am at 95K miles, I've done the plugs, transmission fluid, coolant, and oil, belt, air filter religiously over the last almost 100,000 miles , but I haven't given much thought to other items that I used to swap out on my previous vehicle, like the PVC valve and the fuel filter. Now I know the fuel filter is located in the gas tank I believe its probably not something the faint of heart would tackle, but what about the PVC valve, should that have required my attention or is there anything else under the hood that is not a fluid that may be worth just peering at? I got the air filter and belt replaced already... I guess I have felt I have done my maintenance so well that I feel I am overlooking something. My car has been great to me... Ron
