Is Motomaster Oil any good at Canadian Tire?

MotoMaster 5W30 Conventional Engine/Motor Oil, 5-L

https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/m...ter%205w30#srp

It was on sale for like $22-24cdn for 5L but the website does not show the sale so it must be just the specific store. I will go back and grab a couple more tomorrow.

The oil filter was like $6 from Auto Value branded "Part Master" and not the Wix brand. So I had a 50/50 chance on that.

Grabbed the 5w30, took about 4L
"Crappy Tire" also only had Fram :( No Fram for me.

I could not tell if the oil in there was full synthetic, or synthetic or regular normal oil. 2008 4 dr sedan manual 230k km. Looked kinda varnishy to me but I've been out of any driving and any repair/maintenance for yrs, long enough for brands to come and go. Wix is new to me. Thats Auto Value brand Wix, or maybe Wix is just their air filter brand, because it really says Wix Filters. Mine looked clean, Denso brand, white big ripples folded over.

What are your thoughts on the Motomaster Oil from Canadian Tire, and do you have any recommendations for oil filters other than Fram for a 2008 Yaris with 230k km?

It's made by Shell of Canada. Not a thing wrong with it. It meets all current specs and requirements
