Yaris 1.0L GS 2000 Driver's Door Panel Removal
I need to replace a driver's door mirror that a speeding, inexperienced driver smashed when passing in a country lane. Bolts visible but inaccessible without removing the interior door panel.
The information and photos posted about the newer models are helpful and encouraging, but unfortunately don't match up fully with my Y2000 model. I've removed 2 panel screws and the screws holding in the latch assembly and finger grip, but everything is still rock solid. Window control unit comes out easily, but no screws underneath it. Do I need to remove the door catch unit or are there screws concealed somewhere else? Or is it a case of just twisting the whole door panel up and clockwise from the bottom lefthand corner? Grateful for any advice and help anyone can offer. Thanks in advance, Milo |
