Unhappy Click sound when P to D / D to P

There's a click sound that just started happening recently. Lets say I'm going to park my car so ill press the brake pedal and then put it to p, the car doesn't go into park as soon as i put it into p there's a 2-3 second delay my car is moving back a little and that's when the click occurs. is this normal ? this never happen before. then sometimes when I'm in park then reverse then go into drive there's that click again.

Not normal.

Have you checked the oil level in the transmission?

Sounds like a defective BTSI solenoid. Try the manual park-lock override and see if it fixes it not going in/out of park.

It's a little cover on the top of the PRNDL bezel. Pop it off with a screwdriver or your key and poke your key into it. That will let you get out of park without pushing the brake pedal. If that allows the lever to move without getting stuck/bound up, then you've probably got a bad solenoid or brake switch.

Ok. The next check is to have someone put their head by the lever and then press the brake pedal. You should hear the solenoid firing right when the brake lights come on. Maybe a little click or bump.
