Installing aftermarket componenet speakers and an amp in a LB

I'm looking at doing an install of a complete aftermarket system. Installing a head unit will be no problem as there are many that will slide right into the stock opening. Also, a subwoofer enclosure will be no problem either as you can simply disconnect the wires and remove it if need be. However, mounting the component speakers (mids and tweets) and the amp will be much more challenging.

Having been an audiophile for many years, I know from experience I'm not going to like the sound quality if I were to mount the speakers in the doors. I know there are 6.5" cutouts in the doors for the mids, and the tweets would easily mount on the doors as well, but this will result in poor midbass reproduction and terrible imaging. The best sound quality performance would come from mounting the comps in custom kick panels, but I already know there are no aftermarket enclosures available for the Yaris, and I don't know how to make them myself. Also, where would a person mount a good sized amp (I have a 4 channel Kicker amp) that would either be out of the way for a permanent mount, or be easily removed if need be if located in the hatch area? Do any of you have any experience with such complex installation issues, or know anyone who has? I'll need lots of input with this vehicle as it's going to be my biggest challenge yet!

There must not be too many people doing installs in these cars.
