why do you want to loosen it?

I thought I needed to when I want to take the arm rest out for a project however you don't. As far as the size I tried several and nothing was quite right. I know a couple of guys have change out there seats and brackets so someone should know. I probably have been -0- help.

I am going to put one of the Arkon mounts under the rail for my XM. The bolt head is weird! It kind of reminds me of the air craft fasteners in my youth. I did not take the time to count, but it is not a standard fastener. If I can get my Smug Mug account straightened out I will post a few pics of the mount.

I don't know why they used such a strange fastener? Let me walk out in the garage and see how many point head the bolt has.
