I know the NZ and ZR engines have the same bell housing, but I have no experience with the ZZ's. I believe the 1ZZ and 2ZR use same flywheel, but I'm not sure

I can't tell from the pics on my C50 gearbox info page. It looks like they won't line up (C50 vs C59) but you'd really have to get one and try it. Maybe you can bring your gearbox to a used car parts place?

Well, there may be enough common bolt holes to use the the C150, but the starter would also have to be in the right spot.

You could also do a "rubbing" with a big piece of paper and a crayon, then mail it to the other person.

Now that I think about it, I'm not 100% on that. I used a C160 from a 4A-GE and that bell housing was totally different. I'd have to look under the hood of my mother's Matrix XRS.

Just checked. The C60 bell housing in the matrix is different than C150 bell housing. The starter location is in a different spot.
