ouch, glad that you're ok...I won't get started on drivers with their heads up their ass pulling out in front of ppl. At least you were able to get a replacement super fast, hopefully it treats you just as well.

The damage to your silver Yaris doesn't seem to catastrophic from the one pic you posted. However, the oil leak you mentioned is likely from the crash bar being smashed into the timing cover. If that's the case then a relatively straight forward fix might not be so if you'll need to look at the block/timing cover to see if it's cracked.

Yeah! Fix it up and keep it going! That would be awesome.

I've been trying to find a broken (not wrecked because I'm not good at body work) Yaris for a while now and haven't had any luck... must go to show how tough these little cars really are.

Whenever someone asks me if they should buy a car, I tell them to try to find a blown up one on Craigslist. I thought about a Honda Fit, HHR, Matrix, cars like that before. I found a bunch of hurt ones and decided to stick with Yars.

I almost got ahold of one with a blown headgasket, but slept through the auction. That was the only one I've ever came across with engine troubles.

Car is officially totaled, with everything, getting around $4200 from insurance, and getting to keep the car for $75. If anyone needs any parts, lmk. Brakes and wheels will be transferred to the new red car.

I like your shift knob on the red one. Does it come in blue?

Idk. It came with the car, metal shift knobs are silly though, always hot or cold lol

Making progress. Brakes and wheels swapped from silver car, detail done, next is tint and alignment, then to test this thing out with a ton of miles daily

Just the normal radio, amber lighting.

Today's activities;

Sold my silver parts car for $800, dropping off tomorrow.

Moving stuff over

Ready for delivery in the morning

Also did the trunk mods I saw on here to house a full size spare

All cleaned up and put back together

Last picture with silver

Dropped red off at the tint shop tonight as well, excited to get that car wrapped up.
