Chirping sound when my car is accelerating
I owned a toyota vitz 2008 model done 16kms, CVT and it is chain driven. Sometimes when the car is accelerating I hear chirping sound but it eventually diminish after a few minutes. Also this happen in the morning usually. I am thinking because of the cold weather now here in NZ but I don't have the theory to support this. I have read other site and forum and they say probably the belt but my car is chain driven not belt. And also some of the forum I read is that the sound is persistent not the same as mine which disappear after some time.
I hope somebody can help me here. I both it second hand and have been driving it for 2 weeks before this happen. |

There is still a belt to drive the alternator, power steering and (if fitted) air conditioning compressor. It will squeak/squeal if not properly adjusted.
