Archiving detailed walk throughs

I have a bit of a problem with the maintainers of this site. I created a very detailed walk through of how to replace the yaris's pitiful horn for under 30 dollars.

The whole thing took me the better part of a night, and I did it for the people who view this site. I included pictures, descriptions and it was professionally done.

Unfortunately they have since archived this post and it doesn't seem to be available to anyone.

I would like you to resurrect my post titled

Horn Swap: FIAMM C and D horns for Yaris

by Jimmydie.

I assume that this was a over site so I'll reserve any future comment until I have some response from the webmaster.

Thank you so much.

Hey there,

I'm confused about this whole "archived your post", as there is no function on this site to do so? Can you walk us through what you did?

also, I see the date you opened your account is in 2007, so how long ago did you write this? In October 2008 some lame hackers hit this site and a bunch of threads and posts were lost, so it's quite possible your DIY was in there

I think he means google archived it. But for some reason most google archived threads(for YW) link to different threads than the link says. I think since the hack, you guys might have reused thread numbers and google archived both, and its getting confused.

Either way I think you were right and it just got lost in the hack.

Yes Supmet, I believe that your explanation is the answer. I had not idea that this site was hacked. That is unfortunate. Google does read that it is archived and under a link

http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/arc...p/t-11605.html

It appeared that this was one of those archiving actions that happen. I've had to do this in professional IT work... It seemed to be a similar situation. My mistake.

If I have the post I'll post it again...

Thanks so much,

J
