Replacing drivetrain

I have a chance to get a job I want but it will be 300 mile commute 5 days a week. Sounds crazy but I have to many details to include why. Problem is this is going to be 75k miles a year. I hope to do this a max of 2 years. I already have 120k miles on my 06 HB. I dont want to buy a new car every 4 years. What about replacing engine and transmission instead of buying a new car? What else is going to need to be replaced? I hope to get 300k miles before replacing engine. Currently running full synthetic oil and using no oil between changes. I have been looking on Ebay and can get a low mileage engine and 5 speed for around 1,000 dollars. What else will need to replaced?
I would rather spend 2,500 dollars to rebuild then 13k for a new Yaris

Florida ? nothing but tires and brakes, regular oil changes, maybe a/f and o2 sensor
when they get old and die

really, just run it.

highway miles are very easy on a car. cakewalk

A car driven under those conditions will get amazing utility ie rack up beaucoup miles.

Just drive it and go for it!

You could be top mileage DOG!

Carry a spare MAF sensor!

Oh...I see you are using Synthetic Snake Oil. I mean OIL! Save yourself some money dude and make it regular and change it every 6k miles per the manual...

I have thought about that. But figured interstate driving in the Florida heat for 2 hours at a time Synthetic would be much better. My last vehicle used dyno oil and ran it till 250K miles till something in the clutch or transmission broke and I got the Yaris. Since the Yaris only needs 3.5 quarts the cost difference is not too bad.
