Will We Still Love Our Yarii in 10 Years?

Everyone is still hyped up about US Yaris....Flash forward 10 years...will we still love our Yarii??...if you plan to keep it that long.....

Key for me will be the much ballyhooed Toyota reliability. If I start seeing multiple problems after a couple of years it will be downhill for me.

In 10 years hopefully we'll own the next generation Yaris(If this gen. sells good enough) with keyless ignition and a tachometer :)

Well, if my Yaris is anything like my 93 Tercel, then I know I will still love my Yaris in 10 years. It was the Toyota reliablity that brought me back to them, and the price was perfect for the Yaris. I'm happy now and anticipate being as happy in 10 years.

no doubt we'll still be loving our yaris. i still love my '97 civic hatchback, even though my nephew now owns it. every now and then i'll still run into a modification that i'd like to do on it. but then again, im not like the majority of americans who trade their cars in after 4 years. most of my family keep their cars for around a decade...

Although I may buy some other car in the future, I still think i'll keep this one, just for modding, and sentimental value of course.

Unless I crash it and turn it to a vertical pancake first, who knows?

This reminds me of what happened with the Saturn owners, except the Japanese influence on this car is pronounced. In short, rice is nice.

This Yaris thing isn't going away. I've had this car for 8 months and the reaction I get from people now is the same as when I first got it. How many people do you know that don't smile when they see a Yaris????

I bought this car cause I loved it. I will drive it until the wheels fall off. Unless that is my lifestyle changes (kids to be exact) but I dont see that happening anytime within 5 years at LEAST. If anything I'll just import a 5 door...

I have a friend who got his Jetta in '97 brand new. As of now he's still in love with her.
I don't know if this will be the case with me.

I will if I still have mine. Who knows what the next ten years holds for automobiles? I'd like to have a flying car by then....

I think I will always love my little frog. However, I don't know what waits for me around the bend (getting married, moving, whatever the case is), so I don't know how useful will it prove to be.
Nonetheless, I think that it will always prove to be a perfect commuter, with a mix of size and cabin space hard to match, so I don't so why I shouldn't love it (heck, after 7 months I still get a buzz every time I drive it stock!)

I have a friend in FL. who owns a 1986 Corolla GT-S, a Datsun coupe, and a 2003 Camry SEV6 since he laid eyes on them.

His 39 now and he still drives and tunes his 20yr old panda hachi-roku
("cant seem to find my memory card where the picture is stored")... same with the Datsun his dad gave him, but this last month it broke down because it has about 290+K miles on it... his waiting for the new SR20 engine and other parts too come...
he has a Camry for for his kids... "he doesnt like it as much as his 80's cars"
I dont know why, but he loves his old cars from his youth to drive and play with more than his new car... maybe coz its a head turner...

I guess we wont get bored with our Yaris for the coming 10 years "except if gasoline ran out" we have to buy 4 dynamo motors and rechargeable batteries for it... but come-on with its fuel economy, easy to fit anywhere capability, tunability, quick turning, and alot more! we sure wont be tired with it.

I'll get my Yaris on tuesday!!!
