I think most annoying thing is how people complain about the small crap.....the Yairs is a cheaply made car. It is an entry level car. If you don't like something about it then why don't you trade it in and get a Lexus? I absolutely love everything about my Yairs and would not change anything about it. People complaning about their Yaris is the samething as people complaining about the quality of the clothes at the Goodwill or any hand-me down shop. GET OVER IT!!!!!!!

I find the wiper stack is not in the best position is too close to the radio, sometimes I touch it and my wiper blades start moving with windshield totally dry and dusty, I already have some minor scratches on my windshield because of that.

You guys realize that every new car features the same dash indicators right? Many cars actually have more annoying indicators. They are all but required these days.

It gets worse when you yank out your ECU and run the car off a standalone.
I drive around with the following all constantly on: 1. Check Engine light 2. green "cold" blinking light 3. Power Steering light 4. Passenger seat belt light

The most (and practically only) annoying bit on the dash is the 'lights on' indicator. Why it doesn't dim like the rest of the instrument cluster I don't know...

I guess people do think of the Yaris as an entry level car. Mine has most of the options so it doesn't seem like a cheap car. I don't have any complaints and enjoy driving the Yaris. When I first got the car in 2007, there weren't many Yaris' around, but now I see them everywhere and now I don't feel so special.

Thai RHD model here. . .
I don't like how the clock/fuel display and speedo are closest to the driver and the tach is extremely far away (but hey, at least we HAVE a tach). I also hate how we only have one power lock control on the driver's door. Too many stupid passengers can't figure out how to work a door lock end up getting stock and pulling the door handles hard. But easily for me the most annoying feature of the dash, by far, is the non-telescope steering wheel. The Thai model has dual airbags, but no passenger seatbelt indicator light. . . I've never heard of windshield fluid. . . sounds like brake oil or an exhaust filter. We are RHD so the lights on indicator is far away from line of sight. And finally the oil change light is REALLY easy to turn off. . . I mean, c'mon! |
