Fogs with highbeams

I'm rolling around the idea of putting 3000k HID fogs in, but I'd like them to be lit with the highbeams.

I did a search and found this:
http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/sho...light=foglight

I have an 08 LB S-model with stock fogs.

Is there a relay I can jump so that when I turn my fogs on...they're on...and when I turn them off...they're off rather than them being on with low when the switch is on and the fog lights off when the highbeams are engaged?

My reasoning would be I work 3rd shift and drive at night mostly, so I'd like more visibility, but I'd also like the HID's to be on from the time I switch my foglights on until I turn them off or turn off the car to prolong the life of the bulbs and also gain a little extra night vision while having the highs engaged.

Let me know of any ideas.

Thanks in advance.

legal or not...I would put a vast sum of money on the number of times I've seen an SUV or a Jeep switch from Highbeam to Lowbeam and there were 4 lights before and after the switch....

Why do you all have such difficulty seeing at night?

I work 3rd shift. This is my nightly commute:

My current standing record is seeing 14 deer between Troy and Southport on rt. 14 (1 way). Just because I have comprehensive insurance, doesn't mean I want to use it.

To make the fogs work with hi or lo beam with the OEM headlight stalk with the fog light switch, snip the orange wire going to pin 4 on the stalk connector, tape or wirenut them so they won't touch anything, and then ground pin 4 at the connector. Once you do that, the fogs will come on regardless of headlight mode.

Exclamation

ive never understood why foglights need to b e off for highbeams to engage in automobiles.. seems to me when your highbeams are on, its extra important to have your fog-lights on as well so you can still see the ground directly infront of you.

because fog lights are for FOG, and everyone knows you don't run your HIbeams in FOG lol

okay when i'm on a country road at night time, and i want maximum visibility, and there is NO fog.. why cant i use both if i want? Turning off the fog-lights when you use your highbeams makes no sense. un-educated drivers will most likely put their highbeams on anyway, and end up disabliting their foglights.

exactly. every manufacturer in the WORLD does this.. you might as well complain because we're taught that cell phones should be turned off while flying
