Theft Warning ECU

Does anyone know if every Yaris has a Theft Warning ECU or has TO have this to run?

My 2007 Yaris just died and no mechanic can figure out why. It seems computer/electric related. Turn the key and dashboard goes crazy and that's it. No engine trying to start just nothing. Could it be some kind of alarm/kill switch thing?
Had it a year with no problems!
Please advise.
Thanks!!!

Most US 07's don't have the transponder key, but if yours did and that was the issue, the engine would crank but not start.

I have found that if the battery is low enough, the dash will light, but the starter will not even click, so you may want to check the battery.
