Yaris mk1 cd/radio audio system not working after battery removed
So I had to reset my ecu after having the engine management light on due to a bar maf sensor which i then replaced and reset the ecu by removing the positive wire that goes to the battery. I removed this for 10 mins after which everything reset including the ecu, job done i thought until now.
I now cannot do nothing with the radio or cd player, although i can change station it does not work, even when i press steering wheel buttons i cannot change volume , there is no volume. Even when i press eject on the cd player it does not reel it in. Prior to this everything was working. Is this a code issue or has the fuse blown? Edit: its a yaris mk1 2003 t-spirit eith a standard toyota cd / radio system |

The MK1 radios did not have a security code, so check the ACC and DOME fuses.

Were those two fuses OK?

DOME is a 15A fuse. Very strange that it is missing.

That makes more sense. Have you tried disconnecting the radio or pulling the dome and ACC fuses for a couple of minutes to try rebooting it again?

Beyond that, I'd say that the radio must have an internal problem that occurred during the battery replacement.

Look a the pins on the connector to see if they are deformed where the holes are too large. If so, you can reshape them with a tiny screwdriver.
