For my compartment behind the steering wheel, it has evolved to hold a couple of screw drivers, spare bulbs, insurance card , a pen with a small pad of paper and a few other small items.

Garage door opener, streetwise map, and a post-it note pad for directions.

Fun Fact: Post-it notes fit between the upper seam of the glovebox door and the dashboard and stand up perfectly, good for directions.

on the left- small compartment (lighter, wallet sometimes, music player sometimes) behind steering wheel (quarters, dollar bills, the bad habit of gum packs)
on the right- top (buddhist prayer beads that i don't seem to use hah, film cannisters, microfiber cloths for glasses and stuff, napkins i seem to collect, cellphone crap) and regular glove (regular glove stuff)

nothing too fancy and quite boring tbh! hah

In the glove box behind the steering wheel I keep my wallet, coins, and random things throughout the day. In the passenger side glove box, i keep spare keys, ipod stuff, and i think there is a stuffed animal in there that my cousin picked up off the street and stuck in there.

Altoids, hair brush, pen, change (natch!) and sunglasses. All the things you might need quickly...

With the lift back having 4 storage places in the dash I store 2 umbrellas, one umbrella behind the steering wheel for the driver and one umbrella under the passenger side air bag for the passenger. I put a replacement head light bulb in the small storage area below the steering wheel. The standard storage place has the Toyota owner's manual and other paper work.

well, the other day I put my breakfast in there and completely forgot about it. I found it yesterday, completely dried up! doh. But usually, I put stuff like my glasses, my iPod or whatever is in my hands when I get in the car. I don't leave anything in there, though, except kleenexes or other non-valuable stuff.

I use the driver's side gb for the personal stuff I need (sunglasses, gate punch, etc.) The passenger side gb is kept totally empty. I use it to stash small purchases I make when I'm out running errands or when I pick up the mail. It's easier than putting stuff in back.

In Australia a "dunny" is a slang word for toilet..... You keep a toilet on your dash? Must come in handy, Toilet paper must be on the rear view
