Muffler pipe isn't in the hanger!?!!?

Hi Guys,

I noticed my exhaust pipe isn't attached to the hanger at the middle of the pipe. It appears to have been pulled out at some point. I'm going to pop it back in myself later but does anyone know how this would have happened? Anything I should worry about?

Thanks

Are you the second owner?

Odds of that thing coming out by itself are right up there with winning Lotto MAX. I suspect it had been removed in the past, and forgot to re-hang.

Yes. I just bought it last month. I'm the second owner.

Anything that would require the (original looking) muffler/pipe to be removed? They can be a bitch to install, I tried to replace the muffler mount on my old Corolla and it took many many swear words to install.

Use a little silicone spray or silicone lube (no oils) and they just push right on. First guess would be collision repair.
