Another Yaris accident
Not my Yaris, but sadly my brother's.
He's okay, and only had a small scratch on his hands. He's very lucky. He's looking for a new car now, possibly a civic, corolla or a yaris again. Sorry if the pictures are too big. Sadly his Yaris is in the scrap yard so I can't bring it to my shop and take the engine and tranny out, and all the other after market parts lol. But I'm just glad he's okay, and the Yaris did a good job. No air bags went off as well. This was near Edmonton, Alberta if anybody is wondering. |

Damn, sorry to see that but I'm glad he's OK!
Also too bad you/he couldn't remove the aftermarket parts! I don't see how he ended up down there. Any details on the accident? I had a similar one in Idaho back in the mid-1980s where the car slid out on ice and ended up sliding down into a ditch backwards. I was able to get it pulled out and the only damage was a dent in the lower passenger door and the door protector strip came off. Cheers! M2

He was driving on the highway, and approaching a town. Speed limit change's from 110 to 80km/h, so he was slowing down and he hit black ice. Then before he knew it, he was in the ditch. Ended up doing a 180 and barrel roll into the ditch. He doesn't remember it all too well, he actually got a concussion as well.
And that is crazy. Winter driving is defiantly not fun! |

Here I would have thought it was one of those ******** Edmonton drivers.
Hope the insurance company doesn't jerk him around. I am still waiting for someone to assume liability in my accident that happened Dec 02/2012. |

Mine was just a small little crash .. just made a small crack in my front bumper cover, 1200$ damage. But the insurance companies are still obviously fighting over who is at fault. |

Dang Alberta winters ... I tend to stay in the city, for this exact reason. I figure that my chances of having a crash are higher out on the highways.

Oh gotchya! and it may take a while to hear from insurance. I use to have an echo and I got rear ended, and it took 10-11 months to get everything finalized. Keep calling them and annoying them, kind of hurry things up. My brother is looking at a 2011 Corolla, and 2008 Yaris RS. Both at the dealership that I work at. It's a nice RS Ya me as well. I try to stay in the city as most as possible in the winter. I got some good winter tires so that help's, and I just installed brand new winter tires on his vehicle as well. I'm surprise how good my Yaris does in the winter here in the city, but on the high way it's something else lol. |

I have a 2007 RS ... I really really like it. I had a 87 Honda Accord (which was on its last legs) before my Yaris, so it was really a step up for me. I love the power locks especially and well all the toys I never had before. The only thing I don't use is the aftermarket cruise .. as I don't like giving up that much control.

I don't use cruise control as well. I got a base model 08 sedan, and ask them to install cruise control and a remote starter before I bought it. Only thing I use is the remote starter (which is freaking awesome right now, lol) The RS is defiantly a very nice Yaris. Look's good!
