Visor extension

I own a 09 Yaris and according to the manual I should be able to extend the driver's visor which would be very helpful since the shortness of it does no good blocking the sun when I move it to the side window.

However, I can't for the life of me figure out where or how it would/could extend.

1) Is this a feature that I possibly do not have in my model?
2) Is there an attachment that someone that might recommend that I can buy to extend the length?

PS Couldn't figure out which forum to post this so hope I picked the correct one.

Mine doesn't have the sunvisor extensions either. Been looking through the FS/FT forum to snag new sunvisors from someone.

Dang that's crap. You think I got screwed over or is it an added option that wasn't offered to me? I have to grab onto the handle above the window to use my arm to block the sun.

i dont remember hearing that as an option i thought it was standard.

did you get like the basic manual no frills or something?

i think our cars were designed for women though ..

the drivers side visor has a mirror on it. what dude needs to look at himself in the mirror in a car?

i barely look at myself in a mirror at the house lol

Same here. Power everything. The manual however has the extension so wondering if it's supposed to be included. Guess I will try and contact Toyota's headquarters.

In the meantime has anybody who has one that doesn't have it bought any kind of extender? If so what kind?

The 09s don't have them and the 09 visors are a harder plastic than the prior years. Crashy (08) had the extending ones and they were the first part to sell on my FS thread.
