Big 3 Upgrade in '09 Sedan! (w/pics)

Just did my Big 3 Upgrade in my Yaris. Here are some pics!

The engine bay is dirty I know, but I have to drive 4 miles round trip on a dirt road everyday to get home

I did mine last week. I still have my factory stereo now but that will change in a few months. I only plan on 1000 watts or less but I think this is a good idea no matter how small of a system.

I know this may sound like a trollish question...but why in the name of all that is holy do you have the fuse on top of the engine cover? Did you just run out of wire? Stick that on the firewall...

It wouldn't hurt.

Basically if you have an extra 25 bucks go for it. Even then you could probably build your "Big 3" kit cheaper. 4 gauge wire would work or you can prepare for a bigger system and use 0 gauge.

Knu Konceptz KCA 4 gauge is rated @ 100 amps and is 95 cents a foot or check them out on ebay. I'll post where I ordered some wire from later on. And post some connectors.

So, if I'm reading correctly, I can actually replace the stock cables, rather than add to them? Say I went with a low gauge (1-2) and took out the stock cables (alt->chassis/battery, battery->chassis, right?) and replaced it, that'd have the same effect, correct? Getting more info from the12volt.com, btw.

Add don't replace. Your cpu won't like it if you replace
