Post Mil-Spec Engine Harness

I've had plans to have a RyWire style harness for a long time, but no one wants to build one for any of us without a 2JZ...

My solution = build one myself.

I had a spare 2ZR harness laying around that came with my engine from the junkyard, but it was damaged in the accident.

Step 1 - I stripped it down, labeled it all, and formed a plan of how to route it cleaner.

Step 2

The routing plan.

Now, of course, I will need to have sub-sections branching out from the main loom. I'll try to keep it super clean along the way.

Step 3

Now thanks to Cranky I have plenty of this recycled braided loom, so I'll start doing the loom in sections where there are groups of connections. You can also see the mil-spec circular connector in the center, this is for a quick twist disconnect of the whole drivetrain from the car. (I'll need another plan for the starter and alternator cables).

I started with the coils, heat-shrink the end shut where cylinder 1 is, measure the distance between each plug and cut slots in the loom to feed the wires through. Tape that up with the yellow electrical tape.

Next was the injectors, followed by the crank sensor and VVT OCV's.

This is awesome. Are you using a stock ecu or standalone?

Stock ECM so anyone can use it. And with the HES connector the harness is expandable to be used with any standalone or piggyback controller.
