auto-x last weekend!

1st time out in the yaris, 1st time out with the blitz!

all i can say is SPECTACULAR!

although i need to get my hands on some kuhmo XS's my proxy 4's held there own for a 1st time out.

managed to get some good times in out of the 5 runs, the circuit was superb!
it really had everything in it and got pretty fast at some points as it was held on a oval.

the damn ranking isn't out yet since they had issues with the timmer in the AM so i cant say how i did as far as the whole lot yet...

here's some pics

very nice! screw MX's get, RS3's!!!

tirerack has 225 45 15's for around $130 apiece, and if you buy the old RS2's they're only $99 each!

Are those ATS Cup wheels on a yaris? looks good. I was thinking about the Ronal Turbos for awhile but couldn't get over the huge branding on them.

indeed they are cups, when i saw the bolt patern was 100x4 like the rabbit.. figured why not :) pretty pleased with the look myself, thanks !

the turbos could rock or some Schmidt Revolution Modern Line would be quite the site i think

the XS is the new kuhmo that's going right vs the azenis for auto-x/street.
it's Designed for SCCA racing.

why not the R comp, well i rather only have the one set of tires/rims..

ok, so it's the replacement for the MX then, because that's what it was aiming for.

i'd wager the Hankook RS3 will outperform the XS

i did run as a co-driver last weekend and the guy had the star specs, i have to agree, the grip was pretty insane. then i saw the odd size though.. i'd feel better with a 205/50/15 for some reason..

how's the 55 side wall on em? they dont feel looser in the turn in ?

its such a tiny tiny tiny difference in size, you wont notice anything. they fill the wells better, so i actually think they look better. but the grip, sidewell flex, all excellent.

My first car was my dad's beat up G60 corrado. Since i have learned my lesson with VWs. I still love the look of a clean VW though. You ever watch Hillclimbs in Germany or the Berg Cup?
