Ebay should have plenty of chipped blanks for a few bucks, versus the hundreds from the stupid stealership.

the new key is 10.xx from the dealer...i ordered 2...they'll be here in a couple days...

+1 ^ that happened to me once, on a used car I was thinking of buying. Told the owner, hey look what just happened, he didn't look too surprised, he just shook his head and said "do yourself a favor, run " hehehe, didn't have to tell me twice

i did that once to my car. the lock was frozen beyond belief. so glad it didn't break.
