Installing struts in my yaris

Hi I took plenty of pictures. This is how I removed and replaced my struts. I wish I would have bought KYB quick struts as compress the springs and pressing in near bearings toke alot of time. 2007 yaris w/ 65K. Yes it was early but I can feel a big improvement!

You can remove outer bolts and leave metal cowl in place and slide on in underneath it!

Lfting with a hein wrener 2 ton jack. Jack stands at the sills w/ slots for the pinch welds. Had to have the front wheels on 2x lumber to fit hein Werner jack under car.

removing lower link from swaybar. i bought moogs as rteplacements. hint: if really rusty use a 7/32 asa a 6mm does not fit a corroded allen hole. Wrench is a super long sk g pro 17x19 ratchetimg spline wrench. plenty of kroil oil used. These slowly came off even with all that leverage.upper link to strut was impacted out. lowers were removed w/ allen and wrench

Big armstrong 12-994 18 inch long locking flex head 1.2 drive ratchet on the nut. A big proto 17x19 on the bolt. These are on tight. Lower stut mount bolts and nuts are 19mm. Since I used 1/2 drive i didnt need a deep socket for nut.

when spring was compressed enough not to be touching strut cover, I zipped the 17mm now off w/ a 17mm deep impact socket driven by a Milwaukee v18 impact wrench.
