600 miles from 36K, what to check for?

So I've had my 08 Yaris almost 1 month now, and I've put almost 2K miles on it. So far I love the car, but being that I'm fast approaching the 36K mile range I'm wondering what if anything at all I should be looking out for when it comes to the Yaris line. What should I check myself before the 36k mark.... what should I mention to the auto shop to look for?

I'll be changing my oil at 36K miles and going with Mobile1 oil filter(s) and switching over to synthetic oil.

I also plan on switching out my cabin filter and air filter as well.

A bit of history on the car.... it was a previous rental car for the last 12 months before I picked it up with 34K miles on it. Clean title and the car was flawless from top to bottom. My scangauge came back with no issues either, and no codes in the system to indicate any foul play or previous issues.

Any other suggestions on what to look for, other than what is stated by Toyota directly?

Thanks

I'm also guessing the car has stock spark plugs. I have heard not so hot things about them, any suggestions on what to go with? I'm a fan of Bosch, but that's what I've used in the past for my Eclipse.

The stock plugs are fine for the first 100K miles. If they weren't working, you'd get a misfire code. And I think you'd know about any problem they'd fix under warranty by now.

I noticed the edge of my back seats (the part that is closest to the doors) lift up fairly easily. Do yours seem to have this as well?

Yes, the edges of the back seat lift up pretty easily, its pretty weak foam and it just bends. And as hilton said, the spark plugs are good til 100k.

As long as your oil and air filters are changed your good. The rest of the "service" is just inspecting. You might want to take a wheel off and check your pad thinkness up front. That should be good at your mileage but its goood to keep an eye on it.
