its a resitor which you can get at Radio Shack. I wouldnt recommend it at all. Though there is a seller on ebay (dont remember the full user name) that sells a performance chip that actually works. Uses the base program that Jim Wolf Technologies and others of the like use. It's programed to remap the ECU to your modifications. I have one in my 240SX. The only thing is that you have to install it yourself. I'm decently good with a soldering gun so I put it in and bumped me up a little.

Total cost after the chip and daughterboard .. $80

Only thing is that I dunno if they make it for the Yaris.

Why bump a thread you don't like?
Besides, most members involved aren't even regulars anymore, so your complaint is likely falling on deaf ears (so to speak)...

I don't think a chip would really work on our ecu's since they are adapting/learning.

Soldering another chip in would, but what's the point?

I know Audi's have the option of sending off your ECU to be tuned/remapped and has really cool features like valet mode but remember - those cars have turbos stock (1.8t, 2.0t, etc). So there is way more opportunity for more HP.

Just go stand-alone or get a piggy if u want to do it right.

And if you aren't boosted what's the point? ESPECIALLY with the 1NZFE. whp is like, what, 80 or 90hp?

You're saying this about 3 year old posts? LOL.

Here is my article on the "performance chip":

Coming from Mr. I've only posted 5 times. You want to read the date on a thread before you make a remark to it.

This is also your issue with your turbo questions. You don't take the time to look and read or even think of asking what your saying.

This thread is 3 years old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude for F_(ks-sake please read and school your self a little bit.
