TPMS programming tool, anyone try one out yet?

Wonder how much use the average joe would have for this?

theres one from autozone too. looks just like the 'yota and dodge units. it's universal and can work on any that have that style...i think GM as well...

We'll all need one if we keep our cars ~7 years or so. The nonreplaceable batteries will die and the transmitters will have to be replaced if we don't want to drive around with an idiot light glowing on the dash. I don't like having TPMS.

Search for the long thread in the DIY section about defeating the TPMS (TPWS?). Near the very end of it there is a very easy and quick method shown to make the idiot light simply go away. Works great.

from what i was told by a friend of mine that work at toyota in order to program the tpms lights you have to have that tool that ctscott has now and manually imput the serial number in and sync it up... hes never really BSed me before but he could be wrong.

I thought they discovered in the end that it didn't work.

Here's the thread. I went through three iterations, but it definitely works. I've been running with my TPWS bypassed for a year and a half.
