Not great in snow, but great to tow!

In the last snowfall we had, both myself and my wife managed to go off the road with my Yaris. Part of problem was that I was needing new tires. Luckily no damage done. The good thing is that its so small and light that it was easy for the good samaritans to pull us out. lol

Hey, glad you're OK!

Yeah, having a light car has its good points, too

you should change your title. The yaris is very good in snow, it was your fault if you did not have adequate tires for snow driving.

anyways, i'm glad you and your wife are unhurt.

I have had no real issues with snow yet. The thick wet slush / snow eat my gas mileage. I was able to plow 5” powder without any problems.

If you had winter tires on in good condition and you were driving properly, you would have zero issues with the Yaris in snow or ice.

We find the Yaris to be very good in the snow, as almost any car is if you do the aforementioned. All bad driving conditions do is make short comings in driver skill and vehicle maintenance more apparent.

once again voodoo...we don't do "winter tires" down here...And i've driven in the snow plenty with no problems in Massachusetts. My problem was going from a stop(at a stop sign) to making a turn on a slight slope. There was no traction and the front end did its own thing sliding off toward the slope as the wheels turned. Trust me, I will be 40 on friday and have had my share of driving in snow and ice. The thread was supposed to be lighthearted....
