Lenso VPD pics...

thanks to 03Z33, i'm so happy with my new wheels! lenso VPD 13x7.5 4x100 +25, 9.5 lbs each with 205-60-13 cooper cobra gt's at 18.9 lbs. there's only one thing I like more than losing dead weight in my car... losing rotating mass from my car! the weight went from:

stock steelies with oem re's: 34.0 lbs
rota slips with falken ze512: 30.6 lbs
lenso vpd with cooper cobra: 28.4 lbs!

a few short trips on the freeway and no rubbing so far. plus, my car is another 1/2" lower due to the new 205-60-13's, which is a positive side effect (for my taste anyway). my dad started laughing when he saw the wheels... he says they look chubby and they match the tiny car perfectly.

and here are the other mods i've done but never took pics of:

vibrant custom axle-back

trd intake

jdm tail lights (thanks jimcat! you're awesome!)

autometer phantom

next up? buckets and a roll cage!

looks more like a race-car with those rims. heh, they also make the LB look longer. nice mods.

Oh man, that looks amazing! How do they handle? I've got some stock 14s from the Miata and am thinking about getting some sticky rubber on em and putting them on the Yaris.

Also, have you thought about white emblems?

You've got a nice clean Netz Vitz there! And, I think the wheels and tires are great for weekend racing!

But, are you really going to run them every day?

Miata OEM 14's would work really well with 205/60 rubber!

these tires are great for street. treadwear is 440 and they already feel more comfy than my 50-series falkens on 15" wheels. acceleration is peppier as expected since the tires are 1/2" smaller in diameter and the wheel/tire combo is 2 lbs lighter. response doesn't seem to be hindered from the larger sidewall, i dunno why. i was expecting a more sluggish feel but turn-in is still quick? when i take her to the track, i'll paint these bad boys bronze and get some sticky toyos or kuhmos. hopefully i can find some clean cpf's for daily use.

vibrant streetpower black, 2.25 in/out, $100 shipped from online store.
custom axle-back stainless piping, flanged to stock mid-pipe for easy removal, third hanger, $80.

total $180

sound is not too loud but definitely noticeable, very deep, similar to the es tuning mufflers racers ran back in the day. i love the look too, sleeper-style.

man. you're lucky you have a driveway that big and flat. here in SF we get crammed driveways which sucks for people with lowered cars....and the streets are just getting worse over here also. But those rims look really nice and i just noticed that the two nicest looking yarii (and cali's of course) IMO both run the same rims =P

I love the look of the exhaust. I wish more people understood the understated look. More is less most of the time. As for the rims, the fronts balance nicely, but the rears look just wrong. The offset looks off, and they just look too small for the car... Not sure exactly what hits me as "off", but it just doesn't balance for me. I love the loss of rotational weight tho, and it's nice to see some 13's that aren't wires.

hmm it's true, the front wheels do look like they poke out a lot more than the back ones, time to find some spacers?

Oh and BTW, I have the same olive green Converse shoes
