[QUOTE=fnkngrv]Alright Today I was a bit put back. I have shaved the badges on my S and someone actually came up to me and asked me what body kit I had put on my Corolla cause they thought that it looked sweet!!!
QUOTE]

I have the standard Sedan with shaved badges and I too got the corolla thing. I laughed in their face and told them they were not worthy of knowing what it truly was.

Ive been told that mine looks like a dinosaur head as well...

From day 1, always have people asking and wanting to look and sit in the car. At the beach, home, stores where ever I go people would ask about the car. Its so amazing that such a small car can draw so much attention!
"YARIS NO KA OI!"

I get the obligatory "hybrid" question a lot. One guy even argued with me in the grocery store parking lot for about 5 minutes until I popped the hood for him and convinced him there was no battery!

The funniest comment came from my best friend when he first saw my Pacific Blue LB... "Will it make a blue omlet if I crack it open?"

While I was in Seattle:
"What the heck is a Vitz?"

While I'm on the road in Vancouver:
"Your high beams are on!"

While parked on Vancouver and I'm near my car:
"That's really cute!"
"That's hot!" (Not joking here)

Weirdest thing I've heard:
"The Vitz is the Japanese racing version of the Yaris. I think it's turbo charged."

This comment came from some people in their early teens. I laughed pretty hard when I heard that as I was sitting in my car waiting for someone.

I've had my Yaris for 2 month and I've already had 10 people inquire about the car. Which is weard considering the Yaris Liftback is extremely common in Toronto. Granted, 6 of the enquires were fellow delivery people that I ran into on the streets. It's too bad I'm not collecting commision, cause I must have sold the car to all of them.

I did have one negative comment from a couple of rough looking guys in a very old Acura sedan while at the stop light. They were talking very loudly about the centre dash being the stupidest design ever. I look over, told them that I was used to looking at the centre of the dash cause of my portable NAV (which I've had for over a year). They looked confused, so I just yelled out that I don't use the speedo! They reply "oh ok, sorry". and street light turns green.

I have alot of the "hybrid" question too and the "its cute" comment but here in Canada, liftback are ways more commons so I don't really received bad comments about it.. I guy ask me if they would let me drive my car on a golf course..

well i think if any car could be classified as "cute", the yaris fits the description,

personally, i don't care what other people think of it, it is just supposed to get me from point A to point B with reasonable efficiency, not make me look cool.

I don't get nearly as many looks as I did with my Stratus(debadged, srt4 wheels, painted headlights), or maybe I just don't notice them. I have been stopped a few times walking away from it and gotten compliments and questions though. To this date I've only come across two haters, both friends of mine. Evidently they think it bears a striking resemblance to Steve Urkel's car.

Here a new one. Today, my friend's mom described it as a ball of sushi (basically the sushi rice without the topping).

No mods required.. this car is cool all on it's own. The "wanna be's" that cannot appreciate the car for it's technical merits deserve the crappy mileage and repair bills in their future.

My humble .02cents

I always get "cute"... As for funny reations, I love the reaction I get from people that say it's too small for me.. Then they get in it and are shocked at the room inside..
