Toyota Yaris T3 1.4l D-4D Engine Failure
Hi all, I have a Toyota Yaris T3 1.4l D-4D which is only 5 years old and have only 25,000 miles, last week I was driving back home from work and at a point in time when I was approaching to a roundabout my engine revs to full and it stucks there I successfully managed to pull to the side of the street and in a few seconds the engine switched off. When I got out of ther car I found that the engine oil was pouring out. I was told by the towing truck assistant that it was a turbo failure. But when I took it to Toyota they told me that I have a broken engine and they cannot understand the fault. They told me that they are in contact with Toyota head office to see wether they will fix the car from their expesis or weather I have to pay for the damage. I have a full service history at Toyota since I have always serviced my car on time and at their garage. They have also told me that my 5 year warranty have expired by 5 days.
Does any one have had the same issues with a D-4D engine and it is normal for an engine to blow away at only 25,000 miles? I have never made any modifications to the engine bay. And the car is still standard even the tires. Last edited by justborg@gmail.com; 04-21-2013 at 03:04 AM. |
