CTScott, please I need your help
Jeff from MicroImage advised me to seek your advice on wiring of fog lights.
Following the instructions provided in the foggie kit (1st gen instructions) did not have the desired results, lights did not work at all when activating the provided switch. I did unplug the connector (A24)on the engine compartment fusebox and with a 12 volt probe actually energized the foggies and yes they turned on!! Now knowing that, from the fusebox foward to both lights, my assembly efforts do work. The problem appears to be the inside connections. I called Jeff at MicroImage and he sent me a PDF of a 2nd gen wiring instructions. I made sure the 15 Amp fuse was installed and was not compromised (blown), it is OK. I did encounter the provided switch had a ''always on light'' similar to having your dash lights on. The 2nd gen instructions did provide an image of the aftermarket switch which was disassembled showing a resistor that needed to be removed. I disassembled the switch to look exactly like the image and laid the switch next to the image and called my co-worker over to confirm and he did. I then removed the resistor that was circled in the image and reassembled the switch and reinstalled into the car. After reconnecting, the light still stays on all the time(like before) the light that is supposed come on when you activate the switch now does not work. It appears that the resistor shown in the image could be backward (there are 2 resistors on the switch) and maybe the resistor that is NOT circled in the image could actually be the one that needs to be removed. FYI, I work in Aerospace full time and when I refer to my co-worker, it is my 2nd job which I work at a shop restoring DeTomaso Pantera's. CTScott, at this point I had my co-worker review the instructions while looking at my wiring changes step by step and confirmed that its is wired to the instructions. I am open to your advice on this aftermarket kit. However, would installing a factory OEM light stalk be my best move?? Jeff said you might even have one or reccomend as to where to get one before going to the Toyota dealership. Marty |

Marty,
Did you wire them for normal operation (where they only come on with the low beams), or for one of the other modes of operation (on anytime or on with highs and lows)?

Actually I would prefer to wire them as to where I can turn them on at any time without running lights or headlights. Any suggestions on this utilizing the provided switch & relay?? Marty |

1. The wires entering the switch 2. Where you connected each of the "other ends" 3. The inside of the switch
