Ebay OEM style fog lights installed

They're finally installed, looks just like factory. Sorry for bad quality pic, it's a gloomy day and I took it on my camera phone. They actually have more 'presence' than it seems in this pic cuz it's dark. But, love them! Gets even more looks now. Maybe I'll post better pic another day.

Alrighty. Here r some better pics of the fog lights- also, one pic of the exhaust tip from trdsparks. Now I'm slightly annoyed after noticing my tip is a little crooked and one fog light is noticeably brighter than the other??

To answer one of the questions, I don't know if the yaris was pre-wired.. but I think so. Mine's the S model though, not sure bout the base model. I was told it was a simple job and took about 2 hrs maybe. The guy who did it was foreign and I didn't really understand him, but I know he had to put the wires through under the center console/radio/gearbox area. I think the plastic vent looking covers that exist just pop off (unscrew).

Don't go to the dealership though, they didn't even look at my fog lights and quoted $380 for labor (!). Then I got quoted $150 for labor from one of those 'pimp your ride' garages. My guy friend ended up taking it to some auto repair but would'nt tell me how much he paid for me (I think $60-$100). I think you guys might can do it yourself, I'm a girl so there was no way

It would be a simple matter to straighten that tip. Maybe 60 seconds of work.

I don't know what to tell you about the uneven brightness of the fogs. It could be a couple of different things, the simplest being a new pair of high quality bulbs.

Thanks for the pics. I can't wait to get mine.

I recieved mine. They look to be pretty decent quality.

These take H11 bulbs which are 1,350 lumens. With a little modification to the bulb, it can take the 2,100 lumen H9 bulb - only 65 watts versus 55 watts.

I'm going to test the beam and see if it will be suitable to use as a high beam to replace the high beams I'm losing when I finish my HID retrofit. Perhaps I can open them up and place a shield across the bottom or something.

If not, I'll sell them and figure out a way to mount the Hella 90mm high beam modules. Those would be the better light, but mounting these would be a lot easier.

You could put a little larger diameter light in there, up to about 3.5" or so without cutting the bumper itself - the trouble is finding a way to attach them. These attach directly to the brackets built into our bumper. There isn't anything else nearby to attach to so you'd have to make some sort of custom bracket to attach any other light to the inside of the bumper - not too simple.

I tested the beam pattern from these and it's really pretty good. There is a sharp cutoff with very little light above it so they should work well as fogs. That cutoff would make a lousy high beam though (what I want them for). However, it looks like I can simply turn them upside down and mount them on the opposite sides, drill one hole in the bracket and I'd have light above a sharp cutoff - great for a high beam. I hope I can aim them so the cutoff line matches the cutoff line from my HID lows. Since they won't be on for more than a few minutes at a clip, they shouldn't get too hot with the H9 bulb. If they were used as fogs with the H9 and left on for a while, it may overheat and deform the housing or something - probably best with the H11 bulb they come with.

Is it possible the left foglight appears brighter than the right because beam angle relative to the camera?

This was on my "to-get" list too, but if it's really crap like that I'll just continue my search for the actual factory units.

How does that foglight switch work? Does it always have a green glow around the graphic of a light and the rectangular green light only come on when you depress the button to turn them on?

The reason I'm asking is I want to use the switch to control my custom eyebrow lights but I'm kind of baffled. Mine has 3 wires, a ground, one to illuminate the graphic and one for the rectangular light. It doesn't matter whether it is depressed or not, the light always stays lit. The switch doesn't seem to have on on/off function. The harness came with a relay but I've hacked the wiring up already and can't make sense of the supplied instructions. Anyone?

it depends on which ebay lights you got there one set that has 2 bulbs one to indicate your running lights are on lights the rest on the switches in the car & the the other bulb to tell when the foglights is on. The version i have only lights up when the fogs are on. I got the instruction in a word format i can email them to you if you want.

The one I have looks just like the pic fantabulousbaby posted. There are two bulbs - one that lights up the graphics and one for that rectangular light above it - so it sounds like you've got a different version, thanks.

I like it more than the standard Toyota fog light switch, but I may end up using one of them if I can't figure this one out.
